Dr. Lee Talbot (Professor, Department of Environmental Science & Policy) is an ecologist and geographer with over 50 years experience in national and international environmental affairs, biodiversity conservation, management of wild living resources, environmental policies and institutions, environment and development, ecological research and advising in 131 countries. He is also a senior environmental advisor to World Bank and U.N. organizations.

On December 28, his excellent op-ed was published in The Washington Post. Entitled “Republicans’ attack on conservation law would shock their conservative predecessors,” Dr. Talbot compares Republican policy-making on environmental and conservation issues in the 1970’s to the current administration’s repeated attacks on the Endangered Species Act (which Dr. Talbot also co-authored).
