Current sophomores and juniors at with a strong record of research or
other evidence of intellectual curiosity in mathematics, natural sciences,
or engineering should consider seeking George Mason University’s
nomination for this prestigious award. Students must be considering a
research career. Students aspiring to medical school are not eligible
unless they intend to pursue a research career rather than a career in
private practice.
The scholarship includes up to $7,500 per year to support undergraduate
educational expenses. To be eligible, students must be a U.S. citizen,
permanent resident, or U.S. national. Only current, full-time sophomore or
junior students pursing a bachelor’s degree may apply. Students must have
a minimum GPA of 3.0, but most successful applicants will have a much
stronger overall grade point average.
