Careers and Internships

Students in George Mason University’s College of Science have the opportunity to extend their education beyond the classroom with science-based internships and rewarding careers.

Mason’s Undergraduate Apprenticeship Program pairs high achieving undergraduate students with faculty mentors to undertake original research or creative projects. Each apprentice in the program commits to undertake 12 hours of research-related activities weekly in exchange for a $1,000 stipend for the semester and $100 to cover materials and lab supplies.

Mason’s Aspiring Scientists Summer Internship is another valuable program that provides undergrads, as well as high-achieving high school students, with the opportunity to gain hands-on laboratory experience. Participating students are exposed to cutting-edge technology as well as nationally recognized scientists.

HireMason lists a variety of internships, full time jobs, and part time opportunities exclusively for Mason Students and Alumni by George Mason University Career Services.
