Understand the day-to-day tasks and challenges of delivering an EHS program fora complex biotech / pharmaceutical company2. Research occupational safety and health regulatory requirements and assist inimplementing requirements in a real world setting3. Develop a working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirementsapplicable to environment, health, and safety and how to apply within the biotech/ pharmaceutical industry.4. Learn and navigate within applications used in the EHS profession and work toupdate information to align with field conditions. Examples include EHS incidentreporting and hazard communication program for Safety Data Sheet (SDS)Management.5. Develop educational resources and facilitate training for colleagues on topicsrelated to environmental health and safety compliance.6. Consolidate and visual communicate metrics related to EHS performance.7. Be able to operate a personal vehicle and navigate between two facilities that areapproximately 1 hour apart.8. Utilize Personal Protective Equipment needed to access manufacturing andlaboratory environments, i.e. safety glasses, disposable gloves, cleanroomgowning, lab coatDESIRED MAJORS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLSPreferred Field(s) of Study:Occupational Safety & HealthEnvironmental Health/ScienceBiology / ChemistryChemical EngineeringLevel of Education Required:Must be a student in a Bachelor’s degree program at an accreditedcollege/universityUndergraduate student with a minimum of Rising Senior status.Primary skills and knowledge required include, but are not limited to the following:1. General understanding of applied math and science2. Working knowledge of regulations and how to navigate available databases to reviewsuch material3. Working knowledge and use of Microsoft applications (email, xls, powerpoint)4. Course work in chemical / biological / occupational safety and/or health a plus!!5. Willingness and interest in understanding local, state, and federal regulations such asthose of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), EnvironmentalProtection Agency (EPA), Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH), andMassachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP)LOCATIONNorthbridge/Watertown/Onsite *Please note you are expected to commute to bothlocations; this role requires a car
