Laboratory Materials TechnicianLocation: Dahlgren, VA Clearance: Active Secret clearance or ability to obtainBluePath Labs is a fast-growing research and consulting firm supporting federal, state, and local government clients. We provide professional, scientific, and technology services across business consulting, research and data science, and technology integration.BluePath Labs is seeking a Secret-cleared Laboratory Materials Technician to support a Department of Defense research and test mission beginning May. This role supports R&D, science and technology (S&T), experimentation, and test and evaluation activities influencing system design and development, including work with chemical, biological, and prototype systems supporting biological defense.ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on support to chemical and biological laboratory and test environmentsAssist with setup, operation, maintenance, and teardown of laboratory equipment and materialsSupport chemical, biological, and physical tests and experimentsOperate standard and specialized laboratory equipmentMaintain equipment logs, maintenance records, and experimental documentationSupport installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of laboratory hardware and softwareAssist with verification and validation (V&V), test preparation, execution, and data collectionSupport laboratory housekeeping, inventory tracking, and preparation of test samplesParticipate in test readiness activities, audits, and program reviewsSupport occasional travel or TDY as requiredRequirementsU.S. citizenship requiredHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum two (2) years of experience in a related research laboratory environmentExperience in three (3) of the following:Maintaining records as well as experience in analysis and repair of electronic equipmentMaintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting the installation of laboratory equipmentMaintaining logs and records for laboratory equipment maintenance and repairExecuting data entry, calibration of lab equipment, restocking of laboratory supplies, general laboratory maintenance and other laboratory support functions.Communicating effectively orally and in writingBenefits:BluePath Labs offers a comprehensive benefits package.
