About
My background is primarily the use of statistical models and analysis to simulate and study climate variability and change. My research interests revolve around the analysis of climate model simulations to inform the understanding of the Earth's climate under different boundary conditions. My work within the AOES department involves conducting research on a variety of climate questions using several different sets of climate model simulations.
Current Research
My primary research project is evaluating recent Unified Forecast System (UFS) prototypes for seasonal forecast skill; particularly in predicting tropical cyclone variability (w/ Dr. Bohua Huang). Other research projects involve constraining the Earth's response to anthropogenic emissions using climate model simulations and observed temperature variability (w/ Dr. Timothy DelSole and Dr. Jagadish Shukla) and understanding the influence of an active Pacific Meridional Overturning Circulation (PMOC) on Pacific sea surface temperature (w/ Dr. Natalie Burls).
