About
Dr. Fondufe received her PhD in Entomology from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Her research focused on the effect of crop mixtures on aphid vectors and the spread of soybean mosaic virus and maize dwarf virus. Since joining the Department of Biology in 1997, she has been teaching introductory Biology courses for majors and non-majors. In addition to teaching, she served as the interim coordinator of introductory biology courses (BIOL 103 and 104) for the 2009-2010 academic year. Dr. Fondufe is also a member of the Department of Biology advising team. Before joining Mason, Dr. Fondufe taught introductory Biology courses at Northern Virginia Community College as an adjunct faculty member. Dr. Fondufe is originally from Cameroon, West Africa, where she has worked in the Ministry of Agriculture. She has also collaborated on research projects at The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture in Nigeria and The Illinois Natural History Survey.
