Joanna G. Jauchen is an instructional faculty member in Mathematics. They also serve as a course coordinator for both Business Calculus and for Mathematics for Preservice Elementary Educators.  She has been teaching mathematics at the college level for almost twenty years, at community colleges, online institutions and, for the last nine years, at George Mason University.  At Mason, they primarily teach Math 106 (Quantitative Reasoning), Math 271/271 (Mathematics for Preservice Elementary Educators), Math 108 (Business Calculus), and Math 123/124 (Calculus I with embedded Precalculus).  She has taught courses in a variety of formats, including traditional lecture, active learning, problem-based learning, flipped, and online. They are interested in the strategic use of technology in teaching mathematics and has developed a YouTube library of open-educational pre-calculus and calculus videos.
