About
I earned my PhD in Neuroscience with a focus on cellular and molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative disease, particularly proteomic changes in neural cells. I teach introductory and advanced neuroscience courses, integrating hands-on activities and inclusive pedagogy to foster student engagement and success. I am committed to lifelong learning and to continually refining my teaching strategies to support diverse learners and inspire future scientists.
Current Research
My current research explores mitochondrial dysfunction, nicotinic receptor signaling, and neuroinflammation. In recent collaborative work, I applied machine learning to predict cannabinoid effects based on microglial oxidative stress. I am also interested in mitochondrial proteomes and the regulation of amyloid beta in neural cells.
