AOES Chair Quoted in Washington Post

Professor Jim Kinter was quoted in Washington Post article "Leading Scientists say NOAA plan to improve U.S. weather forecasting is incomplete."  Dr. Kinter is chair of AOES and director of COLA, George Mason University's Center for Ocean-Land-Atmosphere Studies.  AOES and COLA scientists have made numerous contributions to testing and improving NOAA models. 

Dr. Kinter, a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society, has been a leader in advising the scientific community on climate modeling and computational infrastructure, and  serves on the NOAA Community Modeling review Committee.
