Applied and Computational Math Seminar: Elliptic problems associated with the fractional Laplace operator

Speaker: Mahamadi Warma, University of Puerto Rico
Title: Elliptic problems associated with the fractional Laplace operator

Abstract: We investigate the well-posedness of various elliptic type problems associated with the fractional Laplace operator. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for existence of weak solutions and we also show some unique continuation property for the fractional Laplacian. This latter property is important in control theory.
