ASSIP Student Researcher selected as Regeneron Science Talent Search Scholar

Congratulations to Sreenidhi Sankararaman, who was selected as a Regeneron Science Talent Search scholar! #RegeneronSTS is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors. IPN Director Dr. Saleet Jafri mentored the Thomas Jefferson High School senior through Mason's Aspiring Scientists Summer Internship Program (ASSIP) for the project Discovery of COVID-19 N-Protein Active Sites for Effective Antiviral Drug Target Treatment: An Innovative Approach Using Torsion Angle Changes in Relation to Functional Activity of Viral N-Proteins.

Regeneron STS scholars receive a $2,000 scholarship and their schools receive $2,000 to use for STEM-related activities.

Dr. Jafri is proud to have worked with Sreenidhi as they did their research. http://bit.ly/3npzX3S
