Colloquium on Computational Social Science/Computational Data Sciences

Last week’s presentation by Dale Brearcliffe concluded this summer's Mason Online Pandemic MODeling forum (details below).

 The virtual Friday talks will resume with the upcoming fall semester.  The opening speaker scheduled for Friday, August 28 from 3:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. will be Charles I. Jones, Professor of Economics, Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research.  Professor Jones' talk will be based on his paper “Estimating and Simulating a SIRD Model of COVID-19 for Many Countries, States, and Cities”, joint work with Jesús Fernández-Villaverde.
