Cynthia Smith, Associate Professor and K12 Education Director, Potomac Environmental Research and Education Center (PEREC), Environmental Science and Policy, received $60,750 from Fairfax County Public Schools for: "FCPS Watershed Programs."

This is the twelfth year of this award-winning community partnership that employs ~50 Mason students annually, who in turn engage and inspire 5,200 FCPS seventh graders each year in outdoor field investigations in local waterways.

This funding began in August 2022 and will end in late June 2023.
