Math Faculty and Graduate Students Attend Annual SIAM Meeting

The annual meeting of the Society of Industrial and Applied Math (SIAM) brings together applied mathematicians and scientists from all over the world for a week of talks on state of the art ideas in research, education, and implementations of mathematics. George Mason attendees shined: Graduate students  Shraddha Rajpal and Tracey Oellerich (who graduated this summer) received SIAM student travel awards to attend. Postdoc Emmanuel Fleurantin is a member of the 2024 class of MGB-SIAM Early Career Fellows. Professor Evelyn Sander is an elected member of the SIAM Council.
