Puzzles, Statistics, and Symmetry: Rebecca Goldin Speaks at University of Kentucky

Professor Rebecca Goldin, Mathematical Sciences, will be the distinguished speaker at the Spring 2024 Dr. J.C. Eaves Lecture Series event on Monday March 18. The lecture, titled Puzzles, Statistics, and Symmetry: A Mathematical Journey, will include her story, weaving in a few puzzles, some statistical stories, and a love of symmetry. This is a broad talk aimed at anyone interested in how a mathematician might think of mathematics, touching on concepts such as pattern recognition, logical reasoning, symmetry, calculus, and infinity
