Congratulations to Roslyn Cress, Financial/Grant Analyst for the ESP department on being selected as the June Employee of the Month at Mason!  We are tremendously happy for her.

Roslyn’s long career (20 years at Mason, and the last 15 in ESP) enables her to fulfill many roles in her capacity – official and unofficial.  Her knowledge of the intricacies of department and grant accounts, university and state policy regarding budgets, purchasing, and various other areas in one of the state’s biggest public universities is indispensable.  It’s no surprise that many questions that cannot be answered are eventually answered by her.  Her co-workers describe her as a counselor, friend, unofficial department historian, and a patient caretaker of staff, faculty, and students.  The faculty rely on her to secure everything they need for their field research and laboratories.  And in performing all of her duties, she is always patient.
