Timothy Banks wins the 2023-2024 Dean’s Graduate Student Award for Excellence in Teaching               

Math Graduate Teaching Assistant, Tim Banks is a gifted instructor with incredible dedication and passion teaching. In December 2023 he completed the Program for Advanced Teaching in Math, a department program for PhD students who wish to develop excellence in teaching during their doctoral degree. His collaborative, interactive, inclusive, and inquiry-based style of teaching provides an outstanding educational opportunity for students, and he extends his knowledge beyond his own classroom by developing materials that can be used in other classrooms, and by taking on leadership roles by training other students.
