UDTS Deadlines for Fall 2017 Graduation (MS and PhD students)

University Dissertation & Thesis Services (UDTS) hopes you had a pleasant Thanksgiving break; welcome back! The end of the semester approaches, and we want to make sure you are ready.

If you are a Master’s or Doctoral student who is writing a thesis or dissertation, and you plan to graduate in Fall 2017, please take note of the following extremely important deadlines:

FORMAT REVIEW DEADLINE: If you are writing a thesis or dissertation, your document must pass the mandatory Format Review. You must receive an email from our office on or by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 1, stating that your formatting is in good shape, and your Format Review is over. If you do not receive said email on or by this date/time, then you will not be eligible to graduate in Fall 2017. If you have not yet sent your document to us for Format Review, please do so AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

FINAL SUBMISSION DEADLINE: In order to be eligible to graduate in Fall 2017, you must turn in the final copy of your thesis or dissertation and all necessary paperwork to our office on or by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8. By “final copy,” we mean the version of your thesis or dissertation that fulfills all three of the following criteria:

  • The document has passed the Format Review;
  • You have successfully defended (if a defense is part of your process);
  • And your committee has approved all of the content.
