University News: Construction and Delays on campus

The asphalt pedestrian pathway near the southwest corner of Planetary Hall will be closed on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and overnight from Feb. 17 through April 2 while excavation work is performed. From 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., pedestrians will need to walk inside Planetary Hall to pass through the area. The regular pathway will reopen during daytime hours.

The asphalt pathway between the Johnson Center and David King Hall (closest to Wilkins Plaza) will also follow the same overnight closure schedule. Pedestrians should use the next available pathway from the Johnson Center leading to the area between David King Hall and Planetary Hall, which will remain open overnight. Flaggers will direct pedestrians when needed.

Detour signage will be in place. For questions or concerns, contact Cathy Pinskey at cwolfe4@gmu.edu or Michelle Gettle at mgettle@gmu.edu.
