VIRGINIA SEA GRANT GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP INFORMATION SESSION

DATE: Friday, November 4

TIME:  12:30 – 1:30 PM

LOCATION: David King Hall – Room 3006

Sam Lake, Virginia Sea Grant (VASG) Fellowship and Research Program Coordinator, will host an information session for graduate students interested in the VASG Graduate Research Fellowship, Commonwealth Coastal and Marine Policy Fellowship, and other Sea Grant fellowship programs—Knauss Marine Policy, NMFS-Sea Grant Population Dynamics and Marine Resource Economics, and NOAA Coastal Management.  Sam will give a brief overview of VASG and the various fellowships and application processes.  He will also speak generally about the proposal process and grantsmanship from the perspective of a funding agency, which may be helpful professional development regardless of your interest in VASG programs.

Lunch will be provided; please RSVP and notify Sharon Bloomquist (sbloomqu@gmu.edu) of any dietary restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, allergies, etc) by MondayOctober 21st so that we can plan for food.

If you have questions about the session or the fellowships, please contact Sam directly (sjlake@vims.edu).
