Current Research
My research activity is focused on the investigation of the physical conditions of matter around black holes, and it is mainly based on the analysis and interpretation of X-ray data from different classes of active galactic nuclei (AGN). I combine complementary information from AGN and stellar black holes to probe the unification of black hole systems, constrain the mass of supermassive black holes, and investigate the connection between supermassive black holes and their host galaxies.
Teaching Focus
Dr. Gliozzi teaches with a collaborative and active learning approach, science courses on the solar system, on stars, galaxies, and cosmology, as well as a conceptual course on black holes.
