I support the Physics and Astronomy Department by maintaining and improving both instructional lab operations and departmental computing services. I keep lab equipment and experiment setups reliable and ready for instruction by performing timely maintenance, repairs, replacements, and upgrades. I also train and supervise student assistants who help set up labs, test sensors and equipment, and maintain an accurate, online inventory database of lab assets and configurations for instructors.

On the IT side, I partner with lab coordinators to procure, configure, and support computers and technology used in online and in-person labs. I install, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows (10/11), Windows Server 2019, and macOS systems, along with core productivity and cloud tools such as Microsoft Office and OneDrive. I manage network shares and permissions, create and administer accounts and security settings in Active Directory, and use PowerShell and BitLocker to streamline deployments and enforce security best practices. I build and deploy standardized computer images using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), supporting both departmental labs and the Testing & Tutoring Center. I also maintain classroom and lab technology (AV systems, printers, projectors), respond quickly to support tickets, and provide remote troubleshooting for faculty and staff using BeyondTrust Remote Support.
