Professor Andrea Feldman teaches several courses in the Forensic Science program, both at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Prior to joining George Mason University, she spent seventeen years in the field, including fifteen as a Crime Scene Investigator with the Prince William County (VA) Police Department. While a CSI, Professor Feldman investigated officer involved shootings, homicides, child deaths, gang violence, arsons, abuse and vehicle thefts. She has received advanced training in crime scene documentation, shooting incident reconstruction, bloodstain documentation, latent fingerprint recovery, UV and IR photography, hazardous crime scene environments and buried body recoveries. She has testified many multiple times in both federal and local courts. Professor Feldman was a part of the founding crime scene team of the Northern Virginia Critical Incident Team (CIRT). She is a graduate of the Virginia Forensic Science Academy, and currently serves as the Board President of the Academy Alumni Association.
