About
Main research interests in the global-scale processes of energy and materials transport associated with terrestrial hydrological cycles. Seven-year experiences with the development of global-scale numerical models for the river (HEAT-LINK; Tokuda et al., 2019) and lake (TCHOIR; Tokuda et al., 2021) thermodynamics and water quality (Tokuda et al., in prep.) as well as the development of a global dataset of lake water surface areas based on satellite-based products. Machine learning in the field of hydrology and climatology. Ample experience in Fortran and Python programming languages to implement numerical model development and data analysis on Linux servers.
Current Research
Project: Integrated surface physics for coupled hydrometeorology in the UFS for S2S prediction (PI: Dr. David Gochis, Co-PI: Prof. Paul Dirmeyer, and Co-I: Dr. Michael Ek)
