About
J. Daniel Rogers is Emeritus Curator in the Department of Anthropology at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History. He received B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Oklahoma and a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Chicago. Over his career he has conducted archaeological field research in the USA, Caribbean, Mexico, Peru, and East Asia. Since 2002 he has studied the early empires of Inner Asia and developed a variety of Agent-Based Models. His research topics also include the mechanisms of culture change, culture contact, climate change, and the structure of complex systems.
