Dr. Alomair currently holds the position of Advisor in the Technology Foresight and Digital Economy Deputyship at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. In her current role, she is responsible for the development of technology and the digital economy. Additionally, she is an affiliated faculty member at George Mason University, USA. Previously, Dr. Alomair led the Artificial Intelligence and Bioinformatics department at the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) for three years, significantly enhancing its capabilities in the dynamic fields of Artificial Intelligence and Big Dat.

Dr. Alomair is a committed advocate for the rapidly advancing field of artificial intelligence (AI), continuously exploring opportunities for collaboration on existing and future applications. She regularly organizes seminars and workshops to actively foster growth and innovation in AI and big data. Dr. Alomair is particularly noted for her ability to clarify complex technical concepts, making them clear and accessible to a broad audience. Dr. Alomair is a pioneer Saudi woman in technology, being among the first to earn a bachelor's degree in computer science from King Saud University. She started her career as a programmer, then advanced to positions such as database administrator then the manager of the human resources and financial systems HRMS. To deepen her expertise, she earned a master’s degree in health informatics from King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in 2007.Continuing her passion of advanced computing, Dr. Alomair achieved a PhD in Bioinformatics and Intelligent Computing from George Mason University in 2017.
