Title: Almost sure spiraling of geodesics in CAT(0) spaces
Abstract: I will present a logarithm law describing the spiraling of geodesics around certain compact subsets of quotients of rank one CAT(0) spaces. In particular, the lifts of these subsets have a Morse property. A key tool is an analogy of Khinchin’s 0-1 law for Diophantine approximation of real numbers. This is based on joint work with Andrew Zimmer.
