Title: Pattern formation on random networks using graphons
Abstract: We study Turing bifurcations on random ring networks where the probability of connection between nodes is proportional to the distance between the nodes. I hope to impart a flavor of the following topics in the talk: what a graphon is how it relates to graph limits, the types of norms that we might use to control graph convergence, how these norms can be used to control the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of large random graphs and how to apply this information to understand pattern formation processes on families of dense random ring networks.
After: Lunch, outside if weather permits.
Time: Monday, April 25, 2022 - 10:30am-11:45am
Place: Exploratory Hall, Room 4106 - Masks are still encouraged
In-person and on Zoom
