Graduate Student Life and the LGBTQ+ Resources Center invites current graduate students to Queer Grad Student Coffee Hour! Come together over coffee and ice cream on Monday March 28th 3-4:30pm in SUB I Suite 2200 (the LGBTQ+ Resources Center) to celebrate both Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week and Pride Week 2022! We are also hoping to work with attendees to identify times for regular queer grad student programs in the future, so if you can't make it but are interested, please let us know at lgbtq@gmu.edu

Join Women and Gender Studies and Graduate Student Life for the roundtable discussion: Navigating the Academy as a Women, featuring Dr. Anu Aneja, Associate Professor and Director of Women and Gender Studies, and Dr. Julie E. Owen, Associate Professor of Leadership Studies. Our guest speakers will discuss their experiences as women (among their other identities) in academia, challenges and successes throughout their career, and invite others to think critically about the experiences of women within higher education. Community engagement is defined by a collaborative relationship and mutual partnerships between institutions and the communities in which they sit, where shared knowledge and resources are cultivated. Thinking about your own research, scholarship or activism, join the Offices of Graduate Student Life, Community Engagement and Civic Learning and Graduate Education for an interactive conversation about community engagement and scholarship. This panel will bring together Mason faculty, alumni and graduate students together to discuss their own experiences dealing with the intersection between community engagement and the university.
