Title: Isospectral Reductions and Quantum State Transfer
Abstract: A critical problem in quantum information theory involves the transfer of a quantum state through a network of interacting qubits. In recent years, a large body of literature has been produced that has looked at this problem using tools from algebraic and spectral graph theory. I will discuss one such tool, the isospectral reduction, that has recently been shown to be closely tied to the quantum state transfer question.
