DISCUSSION OF SARS-COV-2 TRANSMISSION MODELS
On Friday, March 27, we will kick off online CSS 898/CSI 899 seminars with an informal discussion of SARS-CoV-2 transmission models. The discussion will be led by Rob Axtell and will focus on (a) gross impacts forecast by such models, (b) sensitivity of such forecasts to parameter uncertainty/heterogeneity, and (c) the reliability/robustness of such models given these uncertainties/heterogeneities. In order for everyone to understand how ABMs of virus transmission work we will start the discussion with a few demo models created by CDS/CSS faculty and students, including Professor Anamaria Berea and Ph.D. candidate Dale Brearcliffe.
