# Topology, Algebraic Geometry, and Dynamics Seminar (TADS): Convergence of higher-dimensional continued fractions: Part 2

Apr 8, 2022, 1:30 - 2:30 PM

**Speaker:** Anton Lukyanenko, George Mason University

**Title:** Convergence of higher-dimensional continued fractions: Part 2

**Abstract:** Part 1 of the talk was presented in the Geometry Seminar; Part 2 will be a stand-alone talk focusing more on the proofs. We will briefly review the motivation and setup for higher-dimensional continued fractions (providing some new examples not shown in Part 1) and then go further into the proof methods, focusing on the Euclidean case. In particular, we will discuss how the following decomposition of the unit sphere is related to continued fractions:

**Time:** Friday, April 8, 2022, 1:30pm – 2:30pm

**Place:** Exploratory Hall, room 4208
