Title: Understanding equivariant elliptic cohomology for non-abelian Lie groups
Abstract: In this talk we will discuss cohomology theories for equivariant spaces and consider the specific example of elliptic cohomology. The geometry of elliptic curves dictates the behavior of equivariant elliptic cohomology in the abelian case, but the nonabelian case is more subtle. We will show how to calculate the elliptic cohomology of certain families of classifying stacks, including those of tori and unitary groups. This is joint work with Lennart Meier.
