The university has announced this year’s OSCAR Excellence Awards, which recognize students and faculty for academic excellence. We are proud to share that Justin Elarde, one of our very own undergraduate students, is one of this year’s awardee’s. Justin is preparing to complete a BS in Geography this Spring.

We are also thrilled to hear that Dr. Hamdi Kavak is one of this year’s faculty recipients. Dr. Kavak is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Computational and Data Sciences and a former Postdoctoral Research Fellow for our department.

Congratulations to Justin, Dr. Kavak, and all of the 2021 awardees! Full list, here.
