College of Science Offers Application Fee Waivers for Federal Employees

The College of Science has announced a new initiative to support federal employees and government contractors facing career transitions. Effective immediately, the College is waiving graduate application fees for eligible individuals applying to Fall 2025 programs.

Who Qualifies

The fee waiver program is specifically designed for:

  • Current or recent federal employees experiencing unexpected career transitions
  • Government contracting employees affected by workforce changes
  • Small to mid-sized business owners and employees impacted by regional workforce shifts
How to Apply

Eligible candidates must complete the College of Science Federal Employee Application Fee Waiver form. Documentation requirements include:

  • A letter of separation (for those who have left federal service)

After submitting the required documentation, applicants can expect a response within 72 business hours (approximately three business days). The Graduate Admissions Office will provide confirmation and a promotion code that can be used during the application process.
