Lovejoy essay becomes the subject of recent article on mass extinction

John C. Cannon, a staff writer for Mongabay.com, published a piece entitled “Sixth mass extinction ‘tsunami’ coming, but preventable” on August 4, 2017 which was based on University Professor and ESP faculty Dr. Tom Lovejoy‘s recent essay published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) entitled, “Extinction tsunami can be avoided.”

Both Cannon’s article and Lovejoy’s essay also references the study “Biological annihilation via the ongoing sixth mass extinction signaled by vertebrate population losses and declines” by Ceballos, et al.
