Quote by Dr. Thomas Lovejoy becomes the launchpad of the Year of the Bird

This famous quote by ESP Professor, biologist and renowned “Godfather of Biodiversity” Thomas Lovejoy spearheads the launch of the National Geographic Year of the Bird in 2018, the centennial of the signing of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

The Year of the Bird brings National Geographic together with their partners the National Audubon SocietyBirdLife International, and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology to present a 12-month-long celebration of birds using a variety of platforms.
