Revamped Math boot camp bridges the gap for incoming students

The Department of Mathematical Science's newly revamped summer Math Boot Camp has successfully addressed academic setbacks from the pandemic facing Virginia residents.

In addition to offering traditional remedial classes and trained peer mentors, the program emphasizes active learning - offering new mid-year math workshops for existing students and math boot camps over the summer that helped incoming Mason students shore up on the basics.
