Second "Annual" Earth System Graduate Symposium

This April 22-23, AOES Climate Dynamics students will host the Earth System Observations and Modeling Graduate Symposium at George Mason University.  This is an opportunity for graduate students in climate-related fields to meet each other and share research in an informal and student-centered environment.  More information and abstract submission information is at:

2021 ESOM Graduate Symposium

The symposium will be held online. The first symposium was held in Spring 2019.  Twenty-seven graduate students from across the US presented their work to other students and faculty and heard keynote addresses from Mason's Jagadish Shukla and Ben Zaitchik of Johns Hopkins University.  The second symposium was meant to occur in Spring 2020, but due to the pandemic was postponed till this spring and moved online. The symposium is held on Earth Day to emphasize the importance of scientific study to preserving a healthy Earth.
