Preparing for the FY2027 Congressional Earmark Season Webinar
Nov 19, 2025, 2:00 - 3:00 PM
Since 2022, George Mason faculty have successfully competed for Congressional earmarks in the House and Senate. It is a dynamic process and every year presents new challenges. In an effort to continue this success, all interested faculty and administrators are strongly encouraged to join a webinar from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on November 19 that will provide important information on the process of submitting and competing for a Congressional earmark. The session will be hosted by Kerry Bolognese, Director, Federal Relations, and Rebekah Hersch, Associate Vice President, Research and Innovation Initiatives.
We will discuss what is required internally for proposals to be submitted to Congress, expectations of our Congressional delegation and the Appropriators, do’s and don’ts, the role of Federal agencies, timelines and necessary budget considerations, and more. There will be ample time for questions.
George Mason has a tremendous amount of talent, which has been the key to our success. We want to maintain this tradition and hope you will join us on November 19.
For those who have conflicts and are not able to participate, the webinar will be recorded.
