Please join the College of Science for a presentation by Mason's Innovation Commercialization Assistance Program (ICAP) team discusses what it means to take work from the lab to the market. This includes an overview of entrepreneurship, commercialization pathways, and understanding market need, as well as an overview of ICAP and several Mason examples. This is an excellent opportunity to understand the resources available to you through Mason to get your work out into the world.
The event is open to College of Science faculty, postdoc, and PhD students.
Josh Green is a mentor and entrepreneur whose career has primarily focused on business and organizational development. He is currently the Director of the Innovation Commercialization Assistance Program (ICAP) – a program of George Mason University and the Virginia SBDC. ICAP works with early-stage technology and innovation-driven companies to validate their market on their path toward venture investment and scaling. For almost 15 years, he has advised private companies and nonprofit organizations across the United States in a wide array of industries.
Josh is also a founding member of a startup that produces a high-performance and environmentally safe hydraulic fluid, as well as an aerospace startup that manufactures next-generation unmanned systems.
Josh received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the University of Nevada.
TJ Master is a go-to-market expert, intrapreneur, and entrepreneur with experience in Communications Services, Information Technology, Media, Aerospace, and Defense. His experience spans the B2C, B2B, and B2G segments. TJ has led growth for a global communications company from startup to over $100 million in annual revenue with operations in six countries and an IPO on the NASDAQ.
TJ enjoys developing strategic relationships with multiple stakeholders based on shared value and trust. He has a strong focus on business scaling, creative problem solving, and delivering ROI. With a passion for industry and market analysis, TJ seeks insights, connects the dots, and blends strategy and creativity to drive results. He holds an MBA from American University, and a BS from Delhi University.
