Math Tutoring Center Hours and Information
The Math Tutoring Center will be offering online tutoring services to students currently enrolled in undergraduate Math courses at GMU.
To self-enroll in the math tutor center Blackboard organization, you will need to go to your "Home" in blackboard rather than "Organizations". If you scroll to the very bottom of the home page, there is a "Blackboard Organizations Search". There you can search for "Math Tutoring Center". If you hover over the Organization ID, it should have a little gray circle with arrow that you can click to select to enroll.
To access the online tutoring services offered by the MTC, click on the Blackboard Collaborate link on the left-hand toolbar of the Blackboard page of the MTC Organization and join the session with that day's date in the title to work with one of our tutors in a live setting.
During Summer 2021 the Blackboard Collaborate sessions will be running Monday through Thursday from 2 pm to 7 pm, and on Friday from 1 pm to 5 pm.
There are many ways to approach a problem and find a solution. We have tutors that can help.

Hours of Operation
SUMMER 2021 Hours - May 17 - August 5
|Monday - Thursday||2:00pm - 7:00pm|
|Friday||1:00pm - 5:00pm|
Which courses do you help with?
During every shift there will be assigned junior tutors and senior tutors. Junior tutors can help with courses up to Math 213. Senior tutors are able to tutor all Math courses up to Math 290 and sometimes higher level undergraduate courses.
Does the Tutoring Center offer one-on-one tutoring?
We cannot guarantee that you will receive one-on-one tutoring. The volume of students who come in for help will determine if tutoring happens in a small group, or if you can work with a tutor individually.
What material should I have with me?
Tutors may need to refer to texts and notes, so you should have your textbook, and class notes.
