The George Mason REACH Center will host an intro session and mixer on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from noon to 1 p.m. in Merten Hall, 1204 and virtually.Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the REACH Center, a multi‑institutional climate and health research center focused on transforming big data into health‑protective solutions for climate‑sensitive risk factors. The session will include an overview of REACH Center activities, updates on NIH funding, and information on how the Center can support the development of competitive climate and health research proposals. About the REACH Center:
The REACH Center is a multi‑institutional partnership that brings together expertise in public health, medicine, and public policy at George Washington University; Earth and atmospheric sciences at George Mason University and Howard University; and research translation at the Environmental Defense Fund. This collaborative partnership supports a diverse, multidisciplinary research enterprise that generates new knowledge and accelerates its translation into health‑protective action. The REACH Center is funded by the National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences.
