AOES currently supports one student on a climate graduate teaching assistantship (GTA). GTA positions are prioritized for Climate Science MS students. The GTA is generally awarded to students who have taken classes relevant to Mason atmospheric science and climate classes.
No separate application is required for consideration for a GTA, which is awarded on a competitive basis. Students interested in a GTA should state their interests and relevant qualifications in their personal statement in the graduate application.
The GTA funding consists of a stipend ($16,800 in academic year 2022-2023) and 6 credits/semester tuition.
