Five College of Science Faculty Awarded for Teaching Excellence

Congratulations to the five College of Science Faculty selected as Teaching Excellence Award Winners by Mason’s Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning.

University Teaching Excellence Award Winners are selected for the significant work they devote to course planning and preparation, curriculum development, innovative teaching, advising, as well as undergraduate and graduate mentoring. Those recognized as Teachers of Distinction represent faculty members who have been finalists for the Teaching Excellence Award and are recognized across campus for their exceptional teaching and commitment to teaching-related activities.

This year’s recipients include:

“Teaching excellence is one of the distinguishing characteristics of the College of Science,” said Ali Andalibi, Interim Dean, College of Science. “Our dedicated faculty have consistently created highly effective learning environments for our students and have been recognized as outstanding educators by the University every year. This year, too, the commitment of our faculty to the educational success of our students has been recognized by Mason.  I would like to congratulate the College of Science recipients of the 2020 Teaching Excellence Award.”
