The College of Science’s Academic and Student Affairs Office handles all requests submitted by students for exceptions to college and university policies. In order to provide exceptional service, requests will be processed in the order in which they are received. Responses will be provided via students’ Mason email addresses as quickly as possible and usually within three to four business days. During certain times of the semester, decisions may take a bit longer simply due to the volume of requests which must be reviewed.

Graduate Policies and Procedures
Graduate students can request exceptions to university policy by filling out the appropriate forms. If you have questions, contact Melissa Hayes, Director, Graduate Academics and Students Affairs. Be sure to review university policies.
Graduate students who would like to request an extension of their timelines (either to advance or to graduate) must complete the online form.
Mason Science follows all graduate academic policies as reflected in the University Catalog. View these policies in the catalog.
