Teaching and Learning Conversations
The Teaching and Learning Conversations seminar, hosted by the Department of Mathematical Sciences, is a welcoming space for faculty and graduate students across the College of Science to come together, share ideas, and support one another in our teaching.
These informal conversations will provide an opportunity to discuss our courses, exchange effective teaching practices, troubleshoot challenges, and learn from the experiences of our colleagues. Participants are encouraged to bring questions, share ideas that have worked in their classrooms, or simply join the conversation and learn from others. We will also occasionally welcome invited speakers to share their expertise and perspectives on pedagogy and teaching.
Bring your lunch, bring your questions, and join us for a conversation about teaching and learning!
**We will also aim to meet over lunch at Southside on the First Friday of each month.
Meeting Information
The Teaching and Learning Conversations seminar will meet on select Fridays throughout the semester. Meeting dates are listed below. We will meet in Exploratory Hall, Room 4106, from 11:30am –12:20pm. While we encourage everyone to attend in person whenever possible, we understand that schedules and other commitments may not always allow for it. For those who are unable to attend in person, a Zoom option is also available.
